Reaching new heights with the Arosa Golf Club
The Arosa Golf Club’s course is situated at an altitude of around 1,900 metres. The 18-hole course (par 65) opened in 2001, whilst a 9-hole course has existed on the same site since 1946.
Pius A. Achermann, the dynamic president of the golf club – and for the past eight years also president of the Graubünden Golf Association – is proud of ‘his’ course, “which is one of the highest-altitude 18-hole courses in the Alpine region. Our tee on hole 5 is the highest in Europe, offering a unique panoramic view of the mountain peaks of Graubünden.”
In conversation with PC CADDIE, he emphasises how important solid training and ongoing professional development for his team are to him: everyone should be well versed in PC CADDIE. He encourages his staff to check the PC CADDIE media library for current topics and to keep up to date with the articles published there. After all, his team has to answer golfers’ questions day in, day out.
Regular PC CADDIE training sessions are part of this for him: he is already planning another PC CADDIE training session with Managing Director Livio Padrun for his team at Arosa Golf Club.
