A proven foundation, a smart future – the next stage in PC CADDIE’s development
PC CADDIE operates smoothly and reliably in hundreds of clubs. Building on this strong foundation, we are now taking things to the next level: we are expanding PC CADDIE with an intelligent assistance layer that will significantly lighten your workload in day-to-day club operations and open up new possibilities in analysis, planning and marketing.
To ensure these innovations are successfully rolled out, we have significantly strengthened our team – with six new developers and proven AI experts.
Our goal: evolution rather than revolution.
All new AI features are being developed as web modules and will initially be seamlessly integrated into your familiar software interface. This allows PC CADDIE to grow organically into the web, and you benefit immediately from the new possibilities – without changing systems, without retraining and without disrupting club operations. At the same time, we are carrying out a background upgrade to a high-performance MariaDB database and, with a hybrid cloud setup, enabling maximum flexibility without you having to run your own server hardware on-site.

What this means for you
Our development team has been working intensively for several months to integrate AI directly into PC CADDIE – not as an experiment, but as a practical tool to support your day-to-day club operations.
Your software remains familiar. All existing functions and customisations are fully retained. There is no system change and no time-consuming reconfiguration. AI is integrated as an intelligent assistance layer and expands the capabilities of your familiar system. As part of the organic expansion to the web, individual interfaces are being modernised in a targeted manner – carefully, module by module, and always with the clear aim of making operation even more intuitive. Data protection and fiscalisation requirements are strictly adhered to.
What’s new: you’ll be able to use your own club data more freely in future – for analysis, planning and marketing. And you’ll control PC CADDIE via simple text input in natural language.
Three applications that are already being developed:
Beim Aufrufen eines Mitglieds werden Informationen aus TIMETABLE, TURNIERE und KONTO sofort zusammengeführt. Über den Personen-Copiloten greifst Du zusätzlich in natürlicher Sprache auf alle Personendaten zu und wertest sie aus – zum Beispiel:
„Zu welcher Uhrzeit spielt Max Mustermann am liebsten?“
Regeln lassen sich künftig in natürlicher Sprache beschreiben und werden automatisch in die technische Konfiguration von PC CADDIE übernommen. Die KI prüft dabei gleichzeitig, ob die Änderung Auswirkungen auf andere Regeln hat, und weist auf mögliche Konflikte hin – zum Beispiel:
„Lege eine Frostsperre auf dem 18-Loch-Platz für heute bis 10:00 Uhr an.“
Das System erkennt Mitglieder, die nach regelmäßiger Aktivität längere Zeit nicht mehr gespielt haben, und bietet dem Sekretariat automatisch Vorschläge für Reaktivierungsmaßnahmen und zur Kontaktaufnahme.

Initiative 1: Native AI integration & web front-end
(2025 – ongoing)
- Why AI in PC CADDIE: Simpler operation, faster answers to complex questions and more powerful statistics, dashboards and marketing – directly from your own club data.
- How we proceed: Gradual introduction of individual co-pilots and assistants, closely coordinated with the AI practice team and real pilot clubs.
- One approach, two goals – AI and web front-end in one: every new AI feature is developed as a web module and initially seamlessly embedded directly into the existing software interface. This means new AI features are available to you immediately – and at the same time, PC CADDIE grows module by module into the web. The future web front-end is thus not created as a disruptive large-scale project, but organically and in parallel with ongoing operations.
- Data protection & security: processing in controlled environments, full compliance with GDPR and fiscalisation requirements.
- Integration rather than a switch: AI complements existing processes – no new setup, no disruption to club operations. Individual interfaces will be modernised step by step as part of the web migration, always with the aim of improving usability.
2025 – 2027 Foundations & first co-pilots
Architecture for web modules and WebView integration, data connectivity, People Copilot, Timetable Rule Assistant, Reactivation Assistant (pilot phase), installation of the AI practice team.
2027 – Expansion & Rollout of the First Modules
Wide-scale rollout of the first co-pilots, launch of the AI-supported statistics and dashboard assistant, further modules available as web views in the on-premise software.
From 2028 – Convergence towards a web front-end
More and more areas are being made available as web modules and can be used either in the familiar software or directly in the browser – the fully-fledged web frontend is emerging module by module.
Initiative 2: Upgrading the database to MariaDB
(2023–2027)
- Why MariaDB: In practical terms, this means that PC CADDIE will become even more robust behind the scenes, will work at lightning speed even with huge amounts of data, and will be perfectly equipped for AI analyses in a matter of seconds.
- Specific benefits: The use of standard SQL opens up completely new, flexible reporting options and in-depth data analysis directly from your club system.
- Seamless transition: The upgrade takes place in the background, is fully compatible and happens in stages – club operations continue uninterrupted.
- Future-proof foundation: MariaDB is the technological engine behind the growing web front-end and high-performance AI integration.

Initiative 3: Cloud operations with local gateways
- Why the cloud: No more in-house server infrastructure at the club. PC CADDIE runs reliably in a professionally managed environment – offering high availability and access from anywhere.
- Familiar on-site functionality: ball dispensers, doors, printers, tills and other devices are securely controlled via local gateways. This means that everything that needs to happen directly at the club stays right there – even if the internet goes down.
- Hybrid approach: Cloud core for data, logic and AI – local gateways for hardware connectivity. The best of both worlds.
- Data sovereignty & compliance: Cloud location of your choice, full GDPR and fiscal compliance.
