How do I anonymise IBAN numbers?

Data protection is also essential in the golf industry. Sensitive customer data needs not only to be secured but also protected from prying eyes. That is why a new variable has been added to the format editor this month: <IBAN_XXX>.
This ensures that the IBAN on lists is obscured, leaving only the last four digits visible – thus rendering it unusable to outsiders.

To mask IBANs on lists, for example, click the ‘Fields’ button in the format editor and search for <IBAN_XXX>.

We recommend using this variable whenever you cannot guarantee data protection – for example, if lists need to be printed, you store customer data offline, share computers, or the screen is visible to customers. The less sensitive customer data is visible to unauthorised persons, the better!
