Dissatisfaction swapped for conviction!

In the north-east of the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg, both leisure golfers and top players are warmly welcomed at Bredenbeker Teich. Dale Habbe, club manager at GC Ahrensburg, has been at the helm of the course – one of the shortest in Germany – since October 2021. “Our slogan is apt: here, golf becomes a pleasure,” says the experienced golf manager. The route to the 18 flags is challenging, characterised by bunkers, trees, ponds and the hedgerow landscape of Schleswig-Holstein. To ensure the enjoyment of the game remains as high as possible and to place it at the heart of the club’s activities, the club switched its IT system to PC CADDIE.

“I myself am very familiar with the advantages of PC CADDIE through my professional career. Most recently at ‘G&CC Gut Bissenmoor’, explains Dale Habbe. ‘But here at GC Ahrensburg, we work as a team and make decisions as a team. That’s why I didn’t push through a change of IT system, but involved everyone in the decision-making process. Now we can say that our dissatisfaction with the old IT system has turned into a firm conviction in PC CADDIE.’ The first real tests will come this season, when tournaments and membership administration regarding annual fees are handled via PC CADDIE. The wide range of functions is clear to everyone in the team and has become part of day-to-day operations. “Even if there are any unexpected minor issues,” predicts Dale Habbe, “we’ll sort them out quickly thanks to PC CADDIE’s rapid support.”
