Golfanlage Schloss Wilkendorf has been around since 1997 and Andrea Scheffler has been the good soul in the office for just as long. The woman of the first hour. You could even say that in 2022 they will celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. "As far as I'm concerned," she jokes, "it could be another 25 years. Because even apart from the day-to-day work, many, many friendly contacts have grown with our members. I know everyone and everyone knows me. So I don't just work here, I live here."
The sympathy that Andrea Scheffler enjoys internally also applies to green fee players and organisers of sponsor tournaments. Of course, the golf course at the gates of Berlin convinces with its 42 holes. It nestles on 220 hectares in the hills of Märkische Schweiz and makes clear at first glance why it is one of the 100 most beautiful in Europe. The course is embedded appreciatively in the slightly hilly terrain modelled by nature, and the course designer Sandy Lyle has also incorporated the centuries-old tree population. But equally important is the management of the course. "We are committed-professional," explains Andrea Scheffler. "The reliability of the PC CADDIE system contributes significantly to that. "I still remember quite clearly that we had worked with DOS version in the beginning and today everything is becoming more digital. PC CADDIE continues to develop just as we do. The potential of digitalisation is far from exhausted. Together we will implement the best solutions."
To ensure that this succeeds, the 48-year-old maintains a regular exchange with the experts at PC CADDIE. "While more than 20 years ago at PC CADDIE every employee did practically everything, today we work with experts who have core competencies. So I know exactly who to contact if I want to clarify specific questions". When you can look back over such a long period of time, as Andrea Scheffler can, there are of course a number of anecdotes or special experiences; such as a hacker attack with server crash or being offline for two days because the access data no longer fit. "It is precisely in such moments of crisis that trust pays off. With PC CADDIE we have also mastered such actions."
When Andrea Scheffler is not on "her" golf course, she regularly trains her fitness in the gym. "That helps when playing golf, but also for the necessary concentration at work," she says and then the phone rings again and she answers as she has done for 25 years: "Golfpark Schloss Wilkendorf, Andrea Scheffler speaking".
