Golfers and the secretaries have added the vaccination status into the PC CADDIE://online app and local systems over the past two years to make a smooth game possible on all golf courses.
Once the data is no longer needed for its intended purpose, the responsible parties and their data protection officers are faced with the decision of whether there is still a legitimate interest in storing the data.
According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the storage of personal data is not permitted if the purposes asserted for the collection are no longer fulfilled or have ceased to exist. Use for purposes other than those for which the data was collected is generally not permitted (GDPR. Art 17).
This means that it may now be time to remove the stored Covid 19 status information! We would like to make this work easier for you with a new feature. Therefore, please download the latest PC CADDIE version (April 14, 2022). Instructions for deletion in PC CADDIE can be found here:
Attention:
- This feature will also disable the transmission of Covid information from the app to your local PC CADDIE.
- Please keep in mind that this function can only delete Covid information officially programmed in PC CADDIE. If you have independently still stored the Covid status in a self-defined additional information, this information must be deleted individually.
- This information is not a call to delete your data - the decision to delete is up to each golf facility in consultation with your responsible data protection officer!
