Martin Harnik (35) knows his way around balls: after 68 appearances in Austria's national soccer team and over 300 for various top clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, Martin Harnik is slowing down his soccer career and has been devoting himself to golf balls since Corona. In the spring of 2020, he was still kicking for HSV and experienced how the restrictions became more and more severe: "Apart from golf, not much was allowed anymore," recalls the tall sportsman with a pigtail. He had already had his golf license in his pocket since 2008, but Martin Harnik only really fell in love with golf with his mega-plan: "E7sen"; an XXL brand indoor golf facility in Glinde on the eastern outskirts of his native city of Hamburg. Since February 2022 the dream has become reality and Martin Harnik offers on more than 600 square meters 8 Trackman boxes, in which more than 200 courses can be played digitally, a 50 square meter putting green by Puttview, lounge corners and a stylish sports bar.
Martin Harnik initially opted for PC CADDIE for a pragmatic reason: "I liked the all-in-one solution right from the start," he comments, "the very good online functionalities for booking the boxes, payment, cash register management, member organization and catering, everything runs via a stable system." With the experience of the first year, further arguments have been added for him: "The various features are popular with our customers and my employees because they are often self-explanatory and therefore easy to use. The merchandise management system runs absolutely stable and is easy to customize."
And why is the system called 7 iron and not driver or putter? "For one thing," Martin Harnik explains, "Iron 7 is the first club a beginner gets his hands on, and with that we show that our facility is meant for everyone; for amateur golfers and professionals. The facility is a place to train and get better; at the same time, it's a place to have a good time with friends. Secondly, 7 is my lucky number; and that has already been more than confirmed in the first business year."
