PC CADDIE and LOKAGO are pooling their AI expertise, thereby strengthening the long-term viability of golf clubs

PC CADDIE is consistently expanding its leadership in innovation: in collaboration with AI specialist LOKAGO, the market leader in golf management software is developing intelligent applications that will enable golf courses to operate even more efficiently, cost-effectively and with a greater focus on service in the future. As a strategic AI expert, Dr Daniel Neuß will support PC CADDIE’s technological development in future, both operationally and strategically.

“Now is the right time,” explains Dr Daniel Neuß. “Over the past year and a half, we have gained valuable experience and seen where artificial intelligence offers real added value in golf management. At the same time, PC CADDIE is currently establishing a new technical foundation. Together, these developments present an opportunity to utilise AI not as a vision for the future, but as a practical tool for the day-to-day operations of golf courses.”

The partnership combines PC CADDIE’s technological strength and decades of market leadership with LOKAGO’s proven AI expertise. The aim is to develop applications that reduce administrative workload, automate processes and provide decision-makers with intelligent, data-driven recommendations at all times. “Today, staff at golf courses still spend a great deal of time clicking through menus, filling in forms and searching for information,” says Neuß, describing the current situation. “Artificial intelligence will significantly reduce this complexity. It processes data in an understandable way, answers questions immediately and provides concrete recommendations for action. Whether it’s revenue trends, course utilisation, tournament planning or marketing campaigns: decisions will be made faster, more informed and more easily.”

However, the greatest benefit lies not solely in efficiency. “When routine tasks are automated, it creates what is most valuable for golf clubs: more time for members, guests and a vibrant club life.

“Tournaments are the linchpin of club life. This is precisely where AI can create enormous added value.”—
Dr Daniel Neuß, strategic AI expert.

Tournament management, traditionally the heart of every golf club, will be
a particular focus of development. On this, Dr Neuß says: “Tournaments are the linchpin of club life. This is precisely where AI can create enormous added value. From planning and communication right through to follow-up, numerous processes can be intelligently supported. At the same time, clubs will gain entirely new insights into which tournaments are successful, how utilisation rates are developing, and which target groups they can better appeal to in future.”

In addition to developing specific applications, Dr Daniel Neuß will also take on the role of strategic sparring partner for the PC CADDIE development team. Together, they will evaluate new technologies, identify potential for innovation and develop AI solutions that are directly tailored to the requirements of golf courses.

A key element of the collaboration will also be a new AI advisory board. Selected golf courses will play an active role in the development of new applications going forward. “Practical relevance is key to the success of any AI solution,” emphasises Neuß. “That’s why we don’t want to develop innovation in a laboratory, but rather in collaboration with the clubs. Those who serve on the AI advisory board will play an active role in shaping the digitalisation of the golf industry and take on a pioneering role.”

Technically, the collaboration is based on PC CADDIE’s extensive data ecosystem. Looking ahead, an accredited API partnership will lay the foundations for intelligent AI applications once the current modernisation of the interfaces is complete. Plans include, amongst other things, intelligent assistants, automated business processes, analyses of operational key performance indicators, and applications to optimise capacity utilisation, turnover and customer loyalty.

For PC CADDIE, the partnership is far more than just the introduction of new features. It is a strategic move to consistently expand its technological leadership in the golf market. “PC CADDIE is now the digital backbone of golf course management,” says Neuß. “Many processes are already run via the software, often more than users realise. In the coming years, AI will consistently expand this role. PC CADDIE will not only manage information, but also actively analyse it, provide recommendations and take on tasks independently. It is precisely this that will show golf courses that this partnership has had a lasting impact on the future of golf management.”
